FAQ’s

  • Where are you located?

We are located in Blofield, Norfolk - approximately 15 minutes from Norwich just off the A47.

We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and are just a short car journey to the beach - so there’s lots of great places for inquisitive pups to explore!

  • Why does my dog need to be castrated?

It is a prerequisite for our boarding license by Broadland District Council, and helps to prevent any squabbles or unwanted pregnancies!

Likewise, unfortunately we are unable to board any bitches in season. We would recommend a pet sitter in these circumstances.

  • Why do you only board a small number of dogs?

We want to provide your dog with a safe, happy and healthy environment so that they can relax and have fun.

By looking after just a small number of dogs (max of 3) at any time, your dog will not only have more individual attention, but it also reduces the risk of disease and potential squabbles which might occur in larger settings.

  • What is your policy on Covid?

We follow government guidelines on Covid, however request that you inform us of any cases in your household prior to any face to face contact. In the cases of meet and greet appointments, we may look to reschedule. If you have a pre-arranged booking, we may ask you to take additional precautions when collecting/dropping off your pooch.

  • How do you prevent the spread of disease?

We want to ensure your dog remains happy and healthy during their stay. By asking all dogs to be fully vaccinated for Parvo, Distemper, Infectious Hepatitis, Lepospirosis, and Kennel Cough we help to prevent the spread of disease.

We also ask for all dogs to have a mini-mot prior to boarding, and run through any medical conditions to make sure we can give your dog the care they need.

  • What dogs can use your service?

Unfortunately we are unable to take in dogs under 12 months old, unvaccinated dogs (primary vaccinations must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to boarding) , or any dogs listed under the Dangerous Act (or hybrids), or those used for guarding, racing or any commercial purposes. We also are unable to take any dog carrying an infectious disease, dogs that are not house trained, or any unsocial/aggressive dogs.

We also check for dog compatibility during our meet and greet sessions and trial night stays.

  • What if my dog falls ill?

If your dog becomes poorly whilst in our care, we will do our best to contact you or your ICE contact, and seek veterinary advice/approve treatment if we feel it is in the best interest of your dog. If your dog requires veterinary care, you as the owner will be responsible for all costs. If your dog may be carrying an infectious disease, we are obliged to separate them from other dogs and ask you collect them within 24 hours.

We will always put your dogs health first.

  • Do you accept a Titre test?

If your dog can't be vaccinated for medical reasons, we would recommend you find a good pet sitter to stay with your dog in your own home. Unfortunately the provisions of our insurance do not permit us to take in any unvaccinated dog.

  • How do I pay?

Just like booking a human holiday, we take a deposit at the time of booking, then request the remaining payment before your pooch comes to stay. We are a cashless business and only take card (BACS) payments. See our Terms of Service for more information.
